Basic principles of state policy in relation to providing quality and safety of milk and dairy products
Basic principles of state policy in relation to providing quality and safety of milk and dairy products for life and health of population are:
- Meeting the internal demand of the state for dairy products of wide assortment and increasing their export;
- Inspection of quality and safety of milk, raw milk and dairy products;
- Promoting the development of integration between producers, processors and sellers;
- Monitoring of milk and dairy products market;
- Improving customs rates and price policy regarding the protection of domestic milk producers and dairy products
- Developing national breeding programs.
Requirements to the indicators of quality and safety of milk, raw milk and dairy products
Milk, raw milk and dairy products which are made in Ukraine and brought into the custom zone of Ukraine, will meet the requirements of quality and safety indicators set by the legislature of Ukraine.
Basic rates of fat and protein content in milk are developed and approved by the central organ of executive power on agrarian policy issues in cooperation with the central organ of executive power in the field of technical regulation and consumer policy.
