Dutch Ukrainian Dairy Sector Project “Infomoloko”

On the 7th of July 2008 at premier Palace Hotel in Kiev, a Dutch Ukrainian Dairy Sector Project “Infomolko” has been started.

The project has been officially introduced by the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade Mr Frank Heemskerk together with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Ukraine Mr Jaroslav Gadzalo. This project is a 3-year project, which is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Within this three-year project, a lot of activities will find place:

Local representation of the Dutch dairy sector.

dairy tours to The Netherlands for the Ukrainian directors of dairy farms and dairy processing factories.
Market survey.
Feasibility studies.
Traineeship in The Netherlands for employees from Ukrainian dairy farms and dairy processing factories.
four pilot projects.


Government – to – Government project.

The “motor” of this project is the The Friesian business development company, situated in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. The Friesian is going to lead this project in cooperation with the DAP (Dutch Agricultural Projects) group.

The DAP group presents a cooperation of more than 10 Dutch companies: The Friesian, Bles Dairies Livestock, Bromach, Delta Instruments, Gallagher Europe, Imtech, Royal De Boer Stalinrichtingen, Steenbergen International, Uniform Agri, Van den Heuvel Dairy and Food Equipment and Wilee techniek. The aim of this cooperation is to stimulate export of agricultural products and services. “Infomoloko” is not the first project which The Friesian realizes together with the DAP group in Eastern Europe.

On the 7th of July 2008, this project has been started with the Dairy Seminar during which two Ukrainian speakers and six Dutch speakers. After the seminar, individual talks between the representatives of Ukrainian dairy sector and Dutch companies found place.
